Founded by Shalom, our kitchen was born out of a simple mission: to provide a high-quality, home-cooked meal subscription for those who value their time as much as their taste buds.

Meet Shalom Japhet

Cooking has always been more than a hobby for me. One could say it is a passion that comes from deep within. Whether it’s 2:00 AM or midday, the kitchen is where my creativity truly comes alive.

When I first came to the UK as a student, I quickly noticed a gap in the market: there were plenty of quick takeaways, but hardly any places serving truly authentic, high-quality African food. I knew students and busy professionals alike were craving the taste of home, but simply didn’t have the time to prepare it themselves.

Inspired by the wonderful women in my life, my dearest mum, and all my aunties near and far, who taught me the beauty of our heritage through food, I set out to bridge that gap.

Every meal I prepare brings me closer to my dream of one day opening a Michelin‑star restaurant. This is just the beginning. I am deeply grateful to God for making this dream real, and so honoured to share our authentic cuisine with you all.
